Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Drapes
Helpful answers about custom drapes, fabrics, privacy, light control, hardware, and professional installation in Kansas City.
What are the benefits of custom drapes?
Custom drapes are made specifically for your windows, allowing you to choose the fabric, color, length, fullness, and style that work best with your home. They can add softness and warmth to a room while also providing practical benefits such as privacy and light control.
Can custom drapes provide privacy and blackout?
Yes. The level of privacy and light control depends on the fabric and lining you choose. Drapes can be made with privacy or blackout lining when greater coverage and light reduction are needed. We can help you select the right combination based on the room and how you use the space.
Can I combine sheer curtains with custom drapes?
Yes. Layering sheer curtains with custom drapes is a beautiful way to create flexible light control and privacy. Sheers allow soft natural light into the room during the day, while the outer drapes can be closed when you want more privacy or light control. The layered look also adds depth and softness to the window.
What drapery styles and hardware options are available?
Custom drapes are available in a variety of pleat styles, fabrics, colors, and finishes. You can also choose from different rods, tracks, and decorative hardware to complement the drapery and the style of your room. During your in-home consultation, we can help you put these details together for a coordinated look.
